Obverse description The obverse features the double-headed eagle after the design of artist Ivan Bilibin, rendered in a stylized heraldic manner within the central field. A circular legend along the upper rim reads «10 РУБЛЕЙ 1996 г.» (10 Roubles 1996), while the lower rim bears the inscription «БАНК РОССИИ» (Bank of Russia). Below the eagle, additional inscriptions denote the metal designation, fineness (Au 999), the Leningrad Mint trademark (ЛМД), and the fine gold content (1.555 g).
