| Obverse description | At centre, the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia after Ivan Bilibin's design occupies the field. A beaded circle frames the central device, within which the semicircular legend БАНК РОССИИ (BANK OF RUSSIA) curves below the eagle. Along the upper rim runs the denomination legend ДЕСЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ (TEN ROUBLES), while the date 1999 appears along the lower rim.
