| Obverse description | The obverse features a stylized depiction of a tall Soviet-era victory obelisk or stele dominating the left portion of the field, rendered in high relief with diagonal striations suggesting architectural form. To the right, the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus appears in the upper field, accompanied by the Cyrillic legend РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ below it. The names of the liberated cities — ВІЦЕБСК, МАГІЛЁЎ, МІНСК, ГРОДНА, БРЭСТ — are inscribed vertically along the monument. Konstantin Rokossovsky is one of the odder figures to appear on Belarusian commemorative coinage — born in Warsaw (then Russian-controlled Poland) in 1896, he served as a Marshal of both the Soviet Union and, simultaneously, the Polish People's Republic, the only man ever to hold both distinctions. Stalin had him arrested and tortured during the purges of 1937–1940, yet recalled him to command when the Wehrmacht made the torture of hesitation too costly. He led the forces that executed Operation Bagration in 1944, the offensive that tore apart Army Group Centre across Belarusian territory — which explains the republic's particular interest in commemorating him.
