Obverse description At centre, the denomination '10 РУБЛЕЙ' is rendered in bold relief, with latent image security features incorporated into the numeral '0', revealing alternately the number '10' and the abbreviation 'РУБ' when the viewing angle is changed. Stylised laurel and oak branch devices flank the denomination to the left and right respectively, symbolising civic honour. The legend 'БАНК РОССИИ' arcs along the upper rim, while the year of issue '2023' appears at the base of the field, accompanied to its right by the Moscow Mint monogram 'ММД'.

Additional information

Part of Russia's ongoing "Cities of Labour Glory" bimetallic replacement program, this steel-core issue belongs to a series launched after the 2017 federal law designating municipalities distinguished by wartime industrial output. The Construction Worker type specifically honors cities whose civilian labor forces sustained Soviet war production — a category that expanded significantly as the Kremlin broadened the program's eligibility criteria in the early 2020s.

Brass-plated steel displaced the earlier brass-clad nickel construction after 2017 as production costs rose. Magnetic, and therefore easily sorted from older stock.
