| Obverse description | Within a stylized oval frame formed by foliate decorative elements, a finely engraved common turtledove is depicted in profile facing left, rendered in a graphic illustrative style against a dark matte field. The state arms of the Republic of Belarus appears in the upper central portion of the coin above the bird. The Cyrillic legend РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 10 РУБЛЁЎ is inscribed along the lower portion of the field. The fineness mark Ag 925 and the date 2023 appear to the lower right of the central design. |

| Reverse description | A highly detailed, naturalistically rendered common turtledove (Streptopelia turtur) is depicted in right-facing profile, perched and occupying the central field against a dark background, with meticulous engraving conveying the characteristic scaled plumage of the species. The Cyrillic inscription ПТУШКА ГОДА arcs across the upper portion of the coin, while ЗВЫЧАЙНАЯ ТУРКАЎКА curves along the lower left periphery in an inverted arc. The overall composition emphasizes ornithological accuracy within a clean, uncluttered field befitting the proof finish. |

| Additional information |
Belarus has issued wildlife-themed silver collector coins with some regularity since the early 2000s, and the common turtledove's inclusion here carries quiet urgency: Streptopelia turtur has undergone one of the steepest population collapses of any European bird over the past four decades, with breeding numbers down over 80% across much of its range since the 1980s. The species is now classified as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
The National Bank of Belarus operates its collector coin program largely for the numismatic export market rather than domestic circulation — these pieces are legal tender in name only.
