Reverse description The reverse features a detailed botanical depiction of Adonis vernalis (Spring Pheasant's Eye), with a naturalistic grayscale rendering of the plant's stem and foliage occupying the central field. To the right, a vivid color-applied image of the plant's characteristic yellow flower is prominently displayed. Above the floral image, a stylized graphic of an open book references the Red Book of Pridnestrovie, the regional conservation register. A circular legend in Cyrillic and Latin script surrounds the composition, identifying the species and the conservation publication.

Additional information

Transnistria — the narrow strip of land between the Dniester River and the Moldovan-Ukrainian border — has operated as an unrecognized breakaway state since 1992, when a brief but bloody war ended in a frozen conflict that persists today. Its Republican Bank issues collector coinage precisely because it cannot participate in mainstream international finance; the numismatic program functions partly as soft diplomatic signaling, generating hard currency from foreign collectors while Tiraspol remains unrecognized by any UN member state.

Adonis vernalis, the plant commemorated here, grows across the Eurasian steppe and is protected under Transnistrian environmental legislation.
