Reverse description The upper legend BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA identifies the issuing authority along the upper circumference, while the denomination 10 RINGGIT appears at the lower circumference. The central field prominently features the official logo of the Putrajaya Silver Jubilee celebration, positioned over a subtly frosted background evoking Dataran Putra, the grand ceremonial square of Putrajaya. Contrasting frosting techniques are employed across the field to create a layered visual effect, drawing the eye toward the coloured jubilee emblem at centre. The legend PUTRAJAYA GEMILANG 25 completes the reverse design, commemorating twenty-five years of excellence for the federal administrative capital.

Additional information

Putrajaya, Malaysia's federal administrative capital, was carved out of palm oil plantations in Selangor beginning in the early 1990s under Mahathir Mohamad's push to relocate government functions from congested Kuala Lumpur. The city was formally designated a federal territory in 2001. This issue commemorates a planned city that is, unusually, still not fully built to its original masterplan — large parcels remain undeveloped nearly three decades after groundbreaking.
