Reverse description A facing portrait of Tun Abdul Razak, second Prime Minister of Malaysia, occupies the central medallion, depicted wearing his trademark songkok and spectacles. Radiating outward from the central portrait are fourteen stylised flag panels representing the states of Malaysia and the federal territories, arranged in a sunburst pattern that fills the entire field. The inscription TUN ABDUL RAZAK is inscribed in a curved legend beneath the portrait within the central roundel. The overall composition is bold and graphic, with strong relief contrasts between the flat flag panels and the raised central effigy.
