| Reverse description | A symmetrical frontal elevation of the Mausoleum of Ferdowsi at Tus, Khorasan, occupies the central field in low relief, its distinctive columned portico, broad pediment, and stepped tiered base precisely delineated. The architectural rendering fills the majority of the coin's field in a formal, balanced composition. The Persian legend 'Aramgah-e Ferdowsi' (Tomb of Ferdowsi) is inscribed in a curved arc beneath the monument. A beaded border encircles the entire reverse design. |
