Obverse description Brown and tan note with a guilloche-heavy border framing the central design. At right, an intaglio portrait vignette of Reza Shah Pahlavi in military uniform and peaked cap faces left within a circular frame. At center-left, the denomination «ده ریال» (Ten Rials) appears in a decorative medallion surrounded by fine lathe-work underprint. The bank title «بانک ملی ایران» is inscribed at top center, with two manuscript signatures and printed text appearing along the lower portion.

(Translation: Bank Melli Iran / Ten Rials)
Reverse description Printed entirely in brown on white paper, the reverse is dominated by a large central vignette of the Imperial Iranian Lion and Sun emblem — a lion passant holding a sword before a rising sun, surmounted by a crown — enclosed within a dotted oval frame. The denomination numerals «10» appear in each corner, while the Persian inscription «ده ریال» (Ten Rials) is repeated in ornate cartouches at left and right, flanked by elaborate guilloche scrollwork. A Faravahar (Zoroastrian winged symbol) appears at the base of the central vignette, and the printer's imprint «AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY.» is lettered at the bottom margin.
