A right-facing portrait of Reza Shah Pahlavi in military uniform occupies the right side of the note, set within a fine guilloche border. Reverse description The reverse is printed in dark purple and presents a panoramic vignette of an Iranian mountain landscape with trees, a river valley, and rural buildings in the middle ground. The legend BANQUE MELLIE IRAN is lettered in bold serif type across the upper portion of the note, above the scenic vignette. A small text block in French appears in a central panel at the bottom of the landscape vignette, with the numeral 10 repeated at each lateral margin within ornamental frames.
