| Obverse description | The obverse features the Nazi German imperial eagle displayed with wings spread, its head facing right, and talons clutching a wreathed swastika at the centre base of the design. The eagle is rendered in a bold, stylised manner characteristic of Third Reich coinage. The circular legend DEUTSCHES REICH arcs around the upper periphery in Gothic blackletter script, flanked by a dot on each side.
