Obverse description Helmeted effigy of Libertas, the Roman goddess of liberty, facing right, her hair braided and bound with a ribbon beneath a laurel tiara. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the facial features and headdress. The circular legend CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date flanked by decorative stops positioned at the lower field. The rim is defined by a beaded border.

Reverse description The denomination numeral '10' occupies the central field, flanked symmetrically by an oak wreath composed of two branches bearing deeply lobed leaves and acorns, tied at the base with a flowing ribbon bow. The mint mark 'B' for the Bern Mint appears beneath the ribbon at the lower rim. The design is contained within a beaded inner border that follows the coin's circular periphery, with the denomination letter 'B' (for Rappen) appearing to the right of the numeral.
