Reverse description Central field bears a three-line Arabic inscription reading ضرب في مصر (Minted in Egypt) arranged within an open wreath of leafy and floral branches that frame the legend on both sides, tied at the base. The Hijri regnal year ١٢٩٣ (1293 AH) appears in the lower central field, while the regnal year number is inscribed above the main legend near the top. Three five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc at the uppermost portion of the design, above the wreath opening. The reverse composition is clean and symmetrical, consistent with the formal Ottoman administrative style employed on Egyptian coinage of this series.
