Obverse description Confronted crowned busts of Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, facing one another in profile at center, both wearing ornate Gothic crowns and period royal attire. The effigies are rendered in fine late-medieval style with detailed hair and facial features. A circular beaded inner border frames the busts, with the royal legend inscribed in the outer field between the inner and outer beaded circles.
