Obverse description The obverse is printed in green and red, with a central vignette of the Provincial Bank of Ireland's Belfast branch building set within an oval guilloche frame. The bank name arches across the top in bold letterpress, flanked by two oval medallions bearing the word TEN, with serial numbers appearing at upper left and lower right. A large intaglio £10 denomination underprint in red dominates the centre, overlaid by the promise-to-pay text and a manuscript signature below.

Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in red on a white ground, centred on an oval vignette within an elaborate guilloche border in which Britannia, helmeted and holding a trident, is seated beside Hibernia, with a lion at their feet. The £10 denomination appears in large script at left and right flanking the central vignette, and the founding legend is inscribed on a panel beneath the central group.
Reverse lettering Established A.D. 1825
