Obverse description Black letterpress and engraved print on white paper. At upper centre, a detailed vignette of a castle with a flag, below which appears the bank title in a rectangular cartouche inscribed ISLE OF MAN BANK, with the printer's imprint reading Silvester Sc. 27, Strand, London in small script beneath. To the upper left, a royal crown surmounts a circular vignette of the Isle of Man triskelion arms within a laurel wreath, and at left a vertical ornamental guilloche border runs the full height of the note. The promise-to-pay text is rendered in copperplate script across the centre, with a bold black denomination panel reading Ten Pounds at lower left, and the denomination £10 inscribed in the upper right corner.
