Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Jody Clark, is depicted in right-facing profile, showing the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem crown and a drop earring. The finely detailed portrait renders her hair and crown with high sculptural relief characteristic of the proof finish. The circular legend reads ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 10 POUNDS, distributed around the upper and lower periphery of the field. The engraver's initials J.C. appear in small incuse letters beneath the portrait truncation.
