| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered in the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF JERSEY arcs around the upper periphery, with the date 2015 positioned at lower right. The designer's initials IRB appear truncated below the portrait. The highly polished proof fields provide strong contrast against the frosted relief of the bust. |

Issued to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Churchill's death in January 1965, this Jersey piece is one of several crown dependencies that produced commemorative silver for the occasion — a fitting arrangement given that Churchill's wartime decision-making directly shaped Jersey's fate during the German occupation of 1940–1945. The island endured five years of occupation, and Churchill's controversial choice not to defend the Channel Islands remains a point of historical debate.
