| Obverse description | Fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem, rendered by engraver Jody Clark. The portrait is set within a beaded border, with the royal legend arcing around the upper periphery and the denomination and date positioned in the lower field. The initials J.C. appear below the bust truncation, attributing the design to its engraver. |

| Additional information |
Released as part of the Royal Mint's Music Legends series, this issue commemorates Queen the band following a run of renewed global interest triggered by the 2018 biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody, which grossed over $900 million worldwide. The series had previously honoured Elton John in 2019, with the Queen issue following the same large-format silver proof framework.
Freddie Mercury's estate and the surviving band members were directly involved in approving the imagery — an unusual degree of artist control for a Royal Mint issue.
