Reverse description Jugate left-facing busts of Prince Albert and Queen Victoria in high relief, adapted from William Wyon's original medal design commemorating their birth year of 1819. Prince Albert, bearded and with bare neck, is shown overlapping the draped and necklaced bust of Queen Victoria, whose elaborately coiffed hair is adorned with a laurel sprig. A small heraldic device, resembling a crowned trident or sceptre, appears in the right field beside Victoria's shoulder. The design is framed by an inner beaded border, with the arc legend VICTORIA REGINA + ALBERTUS PRINCEPS CONJUX along the upper periphery and the Roman numeral date MDCCCXIX in the lower exergual area.
