| Additional information |
Henry V's treasury was funded in part by war taxes levied before Agincourt, and the campaign's success in 1415 transformed him from a fiscally strained king into the dominant force in northern France. The Treaty of Troyes in 1420 made him heir to the French crown — a claim his son inherited but could never hold.
Jersey's commemorative program has issued multiple large-format five-ounce silver pieces in this series, each tied to English monarchs with tenuous geographic connection to the island. Henry V never set foot in Jersey.
