Reverse description The reverse, designed by Timothy Noad, features a heraldic cipher composition of four interlinked initials — E, C, W, and G — representing the four generations of the Royal Family: Queen Elizabeth II, Charles Prince of Wales, William Duke of Cambridge, and Prince George of Cambridge. The central monogram is surmounted by three Tudor-style crowns, each individually positioned above the respective initials of Charles, Elizabeth, and William, with a St. Edward's Crown crowning the overall composition at the apex. The design is framed by crossed oak branches bearing acorns and leaves, symbolising strength and continuity of the dynasty. The engraver's initials TN appear discreetly in the lower field, and the date 2018 is inscribed at the base between two raised dots. The circumferential legend reads FOUR GENERATIONS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY.
