Obverse description Uncrowned, bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing right, rendered in high relief after the portrait by sculptor Martin Jennings. The king's initials 'MJ' appear as an engraver's signature below the truncation. The peripheral legend reads 'CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D ·' distributed around the upper arc, with the denomination '10 POUNDS' and date '2024' completing the inscription around the lower arc, all separated by raised dot stops against a mirror-polished field.

Reverse description A dynamic, high-relief composition by David Lawrence depicting four Allied soldiers advancing through breaking surf during the Normandy landings of 6 June 1944. The figures, clad in full battle dress with steel helmets and carrying rifles, are shown in vigorous forward motion through the waves, conveying the urgency and heroism of the amphibious assault. Above the central design the bold inscription 'D-DAY' dominates the upper field, with the names of the five Normandy landing beaches — 'UTAH OMAHA GOLD JUNO SWORD' — arching above along the upper periphery, and the date '6 JUNE 1944' inscribed below them. The engraver's initials 'DL' appear discreetly in the lower right field.
