Obverse description The left portion of the note is dominated by an intaglio vignette of an archaic limestone head in profile, rendered in green on a multicolour guilloche underprint of yellow, pink, and blue. The bilingual issuer name appears across the top in Greek and Turkish, flanked on each side by denomination cartouches bearing the sterling pound sign and numeral 10. To the right, the Cypriot coat of arms is enclosed within an ornate scalloped guilloche medallion, with a frieze of running animals in rectangular panels across the upper border.
