Obverse description Lady Hazel Lavery is portrayed in an intaglio-engraved oval vignette at left, seated with a traditional Irish harp and a landscape of mountains and water in the background. The bilingual bank title in English and Irish Gaelic is set across the upper portion, flanked by Celtic interlace border ornaments, with two facsimile signatures — the Governor and the Secretary of the Department of Finance — appearing to the right of the vignette. A guilloche medallion bearing the denomination £10 is positioned at lower centre-right, with the date printed in red below it.
