| Obverse description | Orange-yellow ground with a brown decorative border composed of four ribbon-scroll cartouches bearing local rhymes in Gothic script. The upper portion carries the issuer's title 'Gutschein der Stadt Hamm (Westf.)' in brown letterpress, with the denomination 'Zehn Pfennig' rendered in large red Fraktur type below. A white panel at centre contains the validity clause, the date '1. Oktober 1921', the authority line 'Der Magistrat:', and two facsimile signatures with the titles 'Oberbürgermeister' and 'Bürgermeister' printed beneath them. |
