Reverse description An outer pearl rim borders the octagonal field, which displays the coat of arms of Suhl in high relief. The arms depict a crenellated city gate with two flanking towers, each surmounted by a flag; crossed hammer and tongs — the traditional armorer's tools emblematic of Suhl's gun-making heritage — appear above the battlements. Within the arched gateway, a rooster is shown in profile, a secondary element of the civic heraldry. The overall design fills the flan without additional legend or inscription.
