| Obverse description | An outer beaded border frames a circular field, within which a second inner pearl circle encloses the Stralsund municipal coat of arms — depicting two stylized wings or mantles flanking a central charge with a crown above — rendered in low relief. The legend STADT STRALSUND arcs around the upper portion of the inner circle, while the date 1917 appears below, flanked by two five-pointed stars. The overall design is characteristic of German World War I municipal notgeld coinage. |
