| Obverse description | The octagonal flan features a raised pearl border following the coin's eight edges, enclosing a circular pearl ring within which the city arms of Stendal are prominently centered in the field. The heraldic shield is divided per pale, displaying on the dexter side a rampant lion and on the sinister side four lozenges arranged in a diagonal band, rendered in bold relief. The circular Latin legend arcs around the outer pearl ring, reading from the lower left upward and continuing across the top and down the right side. |

The large denomination numeral '10' is boldly struck in high relief at the center of the field, serving as the primary design element.
