| Obverse description | Printed in black and green on cream paper, the obverse is framed by an ornamental border with scroll-work corners, with the denomination numeral '10' repeated in the upper left and right corners. A central oval cartouche encloses a four-line prayer verse in Gothic (Fraktur) script addressed to St. Martin, followed by a redemption notice stipulating validity until 8 August 1922 and redeemability at the Bank für Thüringen A.-G. in Ilmenau; the lower portion of the cartouche carries the place-date 'Bad Elgersburg, den 8. August 1921', the issuing authority 'Elgersburger Ritterschaft', and the manuscript signature of Burggraf Kleeberg. The printer's imprint 'WILH. LEOPOLD, ILMENAU' appears below the outer frame. |
