| Reverse description | The large numeral '10' dominates the central field, flanked on either side by a single upright ear of wheat rendered in fine relief. Above the numeral, two symmetrical bundles of diagonal lines appear at the upper left and upper right of the field, with the Hamburg mint mark 'J' positioned centrally between them at the top. The denomination legend PFENNIG is inscribed in bold upright capitals along the lower portion of the field beneath the numeral. The overall composition is clean and modernist in style, consistent with the post-war West German coinage design series. |
