Obverse description Within a raised inner circle, the large numeral '10' dominates the central field. The city name 'STADT HALTERN' arcs along the upper periphery, with the date '1921' continuing to the right along the border. The denomination 'PFENNIG' is inscribed along the lower periphery, flanked on each side by a small six-pointed star. The design is bold and utilitarian in character, typical of German notgeld coinage of the early Weimar period.

Reverse description A bare-headed bust of Drusus Germanicus in left-facing profile occupies the central field, rendered in a neoclassical style evoking ancient Roman portraiture. The hair is rendered in short, naturalistically modeled curls. The legend 'DRVSVS-GERMANICVS' in Roman capitals arcs along the upper periphery, referencing the Roman general associated with the region of Haltern, site of a major Roman military camp (Aliso). The fields are plain and the portrait is in high relief.
