The city coat of arms of Ohrdruf occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with a crosshatched (lozengy) pattern and a standing armored figure, the whole surmounted by a mural crown and flanked by elaborate baroque-style scrollwork supporters. The circular Latin legend STADTGEMEINDE OHRDRUF runs along the periphery, interrupted at each side by a five-pointed star. The date 1918 appears in the lower field beneath the arms, flanked by two stars. |
