| Obverse description | The octagonal iron field bears the heraldic arms of Naumburg an der Saale at center: a crossed sword and key, referencing the city's traditional civic emblems. The circumferential legend STADT NAUMBURG·A·D·S curves around the upper portion of the coin, separated from the central device by an inner pearl circle. The date 1919 appears in the lower segment, flanked on each side by a five-pointed star, all contained within the same beaded border. The overall design is plain and utilitarian in character, consistent with German Notgeld emergency coinage of the post-World War I period. |
