| Obverse description | Octagonal iron notgeld token with a continuous border of raised pellets following all eight sides of the flan. The municipal coat of arms of Langenschwalbach occupies the central field, depicted as a heraldic shield surmounted by a mural crown and bearing a diagonal device. The curved legend KRIEGSGELD DER STADT arcs across the upper portion of the field, with LANGENSCHWALBACH inscribed horizontally below the shield. The date 1919, flanked by small ornamental stops, appears in the lower field. |

| Reverse description | Plain octagonal field bordered by a continuous row of raised pellets along all eight edges of the flan. The denomination numeral 10 is prominently struck in large raised figures in the upper portion of the field. Directly below, the word PFENNIG is rendered in bold, widely-spaced capital letters across the centre of the reverse. The overall design is intentionally austere, consistent with the utilitarian character of wartime emergency coinage. |
