| Obverse description | Within a raised pearl border, the crowned municipal shield of Kötzting occupies the central field, depicting a bear above a landscape on a quartered escutcheon surmounted by a mural crown. A circular Latin legend reading MARKTGEMEINDE ✠ KÖTZTING ✠ runs along the periphery, separated from the inner field by the pearl rim. The overall design is struck in low relief on a plain zinc flan, typical of wartime notgeld coinage. |
