Obverse description Central field features the heraldic shield of Kissingen, depicting a fortified town wall with towers and a smaller escutcheon at centre. The legend STADT KISSINGEN arcs along the left side of the coin in an anticlockwise arrangement. A decorative sprig of oak leaves and acorns adorns the lower portion of the field beneath the coat of arms. The coin's border is formed by a continuous ring of beading.

Reverse description The large denomination numeral '10' occupies the centre of the field, with the word PFENNIG inscribed horizontally beneath it on a raised baseline. The entire design is framed by a beaded border.
