| Obverse description | The obverse is set against a light underprint of local place names in letterpress, with a bold decorative black banner across the upper portion carrying the large Gothic script legend "Gutschein". At centre, a circular vignette bears the denomination numeral "10" within a ringed frame. The validity clause, stating the note expires three months after public announcement, appears to the left, while the issuing authority "Magistrat Ballenstedt i/H." and date "28. Sept. 1920" are given to the right, accompanied by a manuscript signature. The town name "Ballenstedt" in large ornate Gothic lettering anchors the lower portion, followed by "im Ost. Harz". |
