| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed notgeld note with a decorative border of repeating cross-and-dot ornamental pattern enclosing the design on all four sides, with the denomination numeral '10' printed in each corner. At upper left, a vignette of the Northeim town coat of arms within a rectangular frame shows a fortified castle with towers; the issuer inscription 'Stadt Northeim in Hannover' runs along the top in Gothic script.
