Obverse description The obverse is printed in green, cream, and dark brown with a decorative border. At left, an oval vignette contains a full-length figure of St. Kilian in robes and crown, holding a cross, captioned 'St. Kilian.' above. A four-line German verse in a green panel occupies the upper portion of the note. To the right, the denomination 'ZEHN PFENNIG' is set within a rectangular frame with the numeral '10' in red on a dark circular underprint, above the issue text 'Ausgegeben im Jahre 1921.' and two manuscript signature lines captioned 'Magistrat:' and 'Gemeinderat:' respectively, followed by a serial number in large black numerals at the foot.
Obverse lettering Bald hebt sich auch das Herbsten an, die Kelter harrt des Weines, der Winzer Schutzgeist Kilian beschert uns etwas Feines.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in olive-green and dark brown on a cream ground, with a scrollwork border at left and right. A large central oval vignette illustrates a workshop interior with several craftsmen at workbenches engaged in woodworking or box-making, with stacked materials and large windows in the background, evoking the local artisan industry of Langewiesen. The inscription 'NOTGELD DER STADT' appears in a green panel across the top, the denomination '10 Pfg' is set in the upper corners, and 'LANGEWIESEN / THÜR' runs along the lower green panel.
