| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on a pale green guilloche underprint carrying repeated numeral '10' rosette motifs. A bold decorative border of interlocking cross-and-circle ornaments frames the entire face. The issuer's name 'MARKTGEMEINDE MARKTSCHORGAST' is set in capitals at the top, beneath which the denomination legend 'Gutschein über zehn Pfennige.' is rendered in large letterpress type, followed by the place and date 'Marktschorgast, Im Januar 1921.' and a manuscript signature above the title 'Bürgermeister'; the denomination numeral '10' appears in each corner within square cartouches. |
