At centre top, the heraldic shield of Apolda — a tree stump with an oak branch — is printed in colour. A bold black banner across the middle bears the city name 'A·P·O·L·D·A' in spaced white letters. At lower centre, a framed vignette contains a short musical score headed 'da capo ad libitum' with the caption 'Klapperschlange' beneath, a humorous local musical motif. The printer's imprint 'PAUL FISCHER MÜHLHAUSEN I. TH.' appears at the very foot of the note. |
