Obverse description The upper portion of the obverse carries an orange-tinted rectangular panel bearing the town name BAD HARZBURG and the validity text, flanked on either side by large white denomination numerals '10' against a dark border. Below, a humorous polychrome vignette in the Notgeld illustrative style — drawn by F. Jüttner — presents a woodland scene with mythological forest sprites (Schrate) frolicking and wrestling near a spring, with the captions 'Hier!' and 'Kradoquel' flanking the scene. The lower register contains a four-line rhyming verse in German and repeats the denomination '10 Pfennig' in each bottom corner, with the printer's imprint 'Druckerei Paul Rosdorff, Bad Harzburg' at the lower right.

Kradoquel
Wo einst im Urwald schon die Schrate trabten
Und sich an kühler Quelle labten,
Da sprudelt heute noch Gott Krodo's heilger Quell,
Macht Herzen froh und Äuglein hell.

Reverse description The reverse is divided into three vertical panels in green and red tones. The two flanking panels each bear a large '10 Pfennig' denomination block at the top and, below, lively scenes of elegantly dressed spa visitors strolling along arcaded colonnades. The central panel presents a vignette of the Krodo spring fountain set within an arched architectural niche adorned with floral decoration, surrounded by promenading figures; an inscribed stone tablet on the fountain carries a poetic verse. The artist's signature 'F. Jüttner 21' appears at the lower right.
