| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark olive-green and black on cream paper. A large decorative ribbon banner at the top carries the word 'Gutschein' in bold Gothic lettering, flanked by a green underprint ground. The denomination '10 Pfg.' is set in large numerals to either side of a central oval vignette bearing the municipal coat of arms of Stammbach, and a framed panel below reads 'Marktgemeinde Stammbach.' At the foot of the note, validity text and the date 'Stammbach, 1. Juli 1921' appear alongside a manuscript signature above the designation 'Bürgermstr.' |

Stammbach is a small market town in Upper Franconia, and this 10 Pfennig note is a product of the acute small-change shortage that paralyzed German retail commerce in the early Weimar years. Metal coinage had effectively vanished from daily transactions — hoarded, melted, or simply not minted in sufficient quantity — forcing thousands of municipalities to print their own emergency fractional currency. Himmer in Augsburg was a natural choice: an established commercial press with experience handling municipal print runs across Bavaria.
The DeNG reference places this within a small series, suggesting Stammbach issued at least two or three denominations simultaneously.
