| Obverse description | Cream and ochre note with a dark blue-black header band bearing the denomination '10 PFENNIG' repeated on either side of a central crowned civic shield of Hamm with a chequered field, supported by ornate ochre scrollwork cartouche. The body carries a two-column validity text in German stating the Notgeld loses its validity one month after official announcement, with the issuing authority line 'HAMM (WESTF.) 18. MAI 1920 / DER MAGISTRAT' flanked by manuscript signatures above the titles 'OBERBÜRGERMEISTER' and 'BÜRGERMEISTER'. A serial number in red is printed at the foot within an ornamental border. |
