Obverse description Central vignette of the Eschwege municipal coat of arms — a crenellated gate tower with flanking turrets on a divided shield, surmounted by a crested helmet with foliate mantling rendered in ochre and green letterpress. The numeral '10' appears in the upper left and upper right corners. Below the arms, text in Gothic blackletter script reads 'A.O. 1920 / Stadt Eschwege. / Zehn Pfennig.' with 'Der Magistrat' beneath, followed by a manuscript signature. The printer's imprint 'LITH. u. DRUCK P. ISRAEL, WANFRIED a/W' runs along the lower margin.

Reverse description Central vignette of the historic Eschwege Hexenturm (Witch's Tower), a round medieval stone tower with twin pointed spires rising against a lightly tinted sky, framed by a decorative Gothic arch with interlaced Celtic-style corner ornaments in ochre and brown. A wreath cartouche in the lower centre encloses the moral motto in Gothic script. The denomination 'Zehn Pfennig' is repeated in the lower left and lower right in blackletter type.
