| Obverse description | Kriegsgeld (emergency war money) note printed in black and red on a light grey guilloche underprint. The title "Kriegsgeld" is set in bold blackletter script at the top, flanked by a spread-eagle vignette in red; below, the issuing authority "der Stadt Bad Berka" is inscribed in Gothic script. The central composition features three conjoined circular cartouches: the denomination numerals "10" and "PF." occupy the left and right cartouches respectively, while the central medallion contains a vignette of a palm tree amid rocky terrain; year roundels bearing "1917" appear at the outer flanks. Below the central design, the text "Der Stadtgemeindevorstand" appears in blackletter, accompanied by a printed Iron Cross motif and a manuscript facsimile signature, with the printer's imprint "REINECK & KLEIN WEIMAR" in small type at the foot. |
