Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections bearing a royal palm, a rising sun over mountains, and the key of the Gulf of Mexico, surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a pike and flanked by an oak branch on the left and a laurel branch on the right. The curved legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery. The face value 10 PESOS appears in the lower exergue, with the weight and fineness marks 20 G and AG 0.999 inscribed on either side of the shield.
