Obverse description Left-facing truncated bust of Benito Juárez occupies the central field, rendered in low relief with visible coat and collar detail. The circular legend ESTADO L. Y S. DE OAXACA arcs around the upper periphery, flanked by two small five-pointed stars at the lower sides. The date 1915 appears prominently in the lower field below the bust. The coin's border is decorated with a continuous pattern of raised lozenges forming a scalloped inner rim.

Reverse description The central field bears the large denomination numerals 10 above the word PESOS in bold incuse-style lettering, followed by the fineness indicator 0.175 and the word ORO below, all arranged in four horizontal lines. The circular legend MONEDA PROVISIONAL arcs around the upper periphery. A sprig of laurel or oak branches decorates the lower field, with the mint master initials T.M. inscribed at the base. The border features the same continuous lozenge pattern as the obverse.
